Short version: we collect your email, your job preferences, and the résumé text you give us, and we use them — including with AI and infrastructure providers — to find and score jobs for you and email you matches. We don’t sell your data. You can ask us to delete it.
1. Who we are
youbetter.ai (“we,” “us”) operates this job-search service. For privacy questions, contact privacy@youbetter.ai [set up this inbox / forwarding, or replace with your preferred address].
2. Information we collect
- Account: your email address and password (passwords are handled by our auth provider; we never see them in plain text).
- Profile: target roles, seniority, work mode, locations, industries, company preferences, minimum salary, things to avoid.
- Résumé / CV: the text extracted from the CV you upload (we process the text; we do not need to retain the original file).
- Activity: job matches generated for you, your statuses, ratings, notes, and interview tracking.
3. How we use it
We use your information to: gather and AI-score job postings against your profile; show and let you manage your matches; email you when new matches are ready; and maintain, secure, and improve the Service. We process this data to provide the service you signed up for.
4. Service providers we share with
We use trusted third parties to run the Service. Relevant parts of your data are shared with them only to provide these functions:

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Local storage
We store some preferences and a cached copy of your tracker state in your browser’s local storage for performance and offline use. You can clear this via your browser at any time.
6. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Job matches refresh regularly and older matches may be replaced. If you delete your account, we delete your associated profile, matches, and tracker state [confirm your retention/backup window, e.g. within 30 days].
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Update your profile in the app, or email us to request access or deletion. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA, UK, or Israel), you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with a regulator.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including per-user access controls (row-level security) so each account can only access its own data, and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. International transfers
Our providers are primarily based in the United States, so your data may be processed there.
11. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.
